Dr. Cole Staigle

Dr. Cole Staigle PT, DPT - Clinic Director

Dr. Cole is a licensed Physical Therapist with a strong passion for helping athletes and active individuals of all levels perform at their best. He earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Jamestown in 2021, along with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2014. He has obtained advanced training in Functional Dry Needling and Clinical Management of Fitness Athletes.

Dr. Cole considers himself a “movement optimist,” believing that any form of movement is a step in the right direction. He takes a holistic approach to care, integrating all aspects of a patient’s lifestyle and current evidence-based research to guide clinical decisions and help individuals reach their unique health and fitness goals. With a background in collegiate athletics and a lifelong commitment to health and fitness, Dr. Cole has developed a special interest in sports and orthopedic physical therapy. He is dedicated to supporting patients across the lifespan—from injury recovery to performance optimization.

Having lived in the Black Hills area since 2021, Dr. Cole is proud to call the Sturgis community home. Outside the clinic, he enjoys spending quality time with his family. He is a certified Crossfit Trainer and works at a local gym in town. In his free time, Cole loves taking full advantage of the outdoors and spending his time volunteering.

Dr. Jae Hanks

Dr. Jae Hanks PT, DPT

Dr. Jae earned her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Exercise Science from South Dakota State University. She went on to University of Nebraska Medical Center where she graduated with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree. As a recent graduate, she is excited to begin her professional career with Pain & Movement Solutions. She is looking forward to building meaningful relationships with her patients and providing individualized care.

Dr. Jae is from New Underwood, SD and grew up spending a lot of time on her family’s ranch near Union Center. She developed a strong work ethic and passion for serving rural communities. Dr. Jae is passionate about helping patients of all ages and activity levels return to the things they love. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, staying active, spending time outdoors, and being with friends and family.

Kamry Esser

Kamry Esser PTA

Kamry Esser is from Canova, SD, and earned a B.S. in Exercise Science from Dakota State University in Madison, SD. Following graduation, she spent 2.5 years working as a Personal Trainer at Anytime Fitness in Madison. Kamry then pursued further education at Lake Area Technical College in Watertown, SD, where she earned an Associate of Applied Science degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant, and graduated in May 2024.

As a recent graduate with a strong passion for health and fitness, Kamry is eager to work with a diverse range of patients, with a particular focus on post-operative rehabilitation and athletes. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys staying active through workouts, traveling, attending concerts, rodeos, golfing, and deer hunting.

Alyssa Smith

Alyssa Smith Patient Services Director

With a background in law enforcement and a heart for helping people, Alyssa brings both grit and compassion to the team. She joined Pain & Movement Solutions in 2024 and now serves as Patient Services Director, where she ensures each patient’s scheduling and financial experience is seamless from start to finish across the organization.

Behind the scenes, Alyssa is the one keeping things running smoothly so patients can focus on what really matters—feeling better and getting back to doing what they love.

Outside of work, Alyssa enjoys tackling projects around her home and is always taking on something new—especially when it comes to landscaping, whether she fully enjoys it or not. She also loves reading, gaming, and spending time working on her 1991 Ford, which always seems to provide the next project. When she’s not busy with that, she’s kept on her toes by her three dogs and two cats, who tend to run the house. Alyssa describes herself as laid-back and happiest when she’s staying busy, fixing things, and enjoying the simple things in life.

Kristine Goldade

Kristine Goldade Patient Care Coordinator

Kristine is the caring voice on the phone when you give Sturgis location a call and a welcoming smile when walking into the clinic. She’ll be happy to help you successfully schedule your treatments and ensure your time spent with Pain & Movement Solutions is comfortable and flawless.

Kristine was born and raised in the Black Hills. She graduated from Sturgis Brown High School. She is a hard worker who loves learning new things and aims to improve herself every day.

Kristine has 3 children who keep her moving daily. In her spare time, she enjoys cheering loudly for her children at sporting events, having quiet nights at home, enjoying the Black Hills and you will see her throughout the community doing volunteer work.
